The Postdoc will establish critical reagents to characterize understudied glycosyltransferases (GTs) and glycoside hydrolases (GH), enzymes that add and remove sugars, for biotechnology and bioengineering applications. The position also involves oversight and training of undergraduate students, team members, project personnel, and Users-in-Residence in routine research techniques. The post-doc will be part of a cross-disciplinary team focused on escalating knowledge and accelerating research in glycoscience across the tree of life. The Postdoc will give scientific presentations in internal and external meetings, assist in the preparation of manuscripts for scientific journals, and develop standardized protocols for dissemination of knowledge, techniques and tools to the scientific community.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position
PhD in chemistry, biochemistry or related fields. Candidates with experience in biochemical characterization of carbohydrate active enzymes (GHs) are especially encouraged to apply.
