Job Duties:

80% - Teaching

Assisting the course directors of the following courses

• PHSL 3701 (Fall 2024) - staffing lab and grading lab reports
• PHSL 3051 (Fall 2024, Spring 2025) - staffing lab and grading assignments
• PHSL 5115 and 5116 (Fall 2024, Spring 2025) circulating in the classroom as students

perform active learning exercises.

• PHSL (Spring 2025) - Sue Keirstead with Bionic Human Class discussions and grading

assignments.

• Working towards developing lectures for the Spring 2025

20% - Scholarship

• Working with Lisa Anderson on educational research projects and writing publications.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• PhD in a biomedical (physiology) or clinical (nursing) science

• Experience with statistical analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching nursing students

The Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology's research centers on integrative systems biology of the heart and vasculature, including the close linkages among cardiovascular diseases and obesity, diabetes and metabolism at the whole animal level. The department is ideally positioned to bridge basic science discoveries to clinically relevant applications, spanning from academia to our neighbors in the biomedical industry.
