Job Description:


Provide support to relationship managers, with medium to large finance requests that have moderate to high degree of complexity. Assists the Relationship Managers in maintaining high quality loans through the support of underwriting, portfolio administration and cash management functions. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and with the Bank's policies and procedures.


  • Underwriting and monitoring credit, existing and proposed credit requests, providing high level customer service support. Supports the Relationship Managers in their sales and credit underwriting efforts including industry and company research, accompanying the Relationship Managers on customer and prospect calls, and various other sales/customer oriented projects. Mentors junior staff in underwriting deals with greater degree of complexity.

  • Develops a working knowledge of all customers, businesses, and prospect opportunities. Assisting in cross sell effort and performing special projects for the department manager.

  • Prepares documentation required for the processing of loans, reviews status of existing loans, takes appropriate action on loans that are mature or past due, and assists relationship managers in loan closings.

  • Supports the Relationship Manager in monitoring on an on-going basis information concerning customer performance, abilities, and industry to determine that loan is an acceptable risk. This will consist of, but not be limited to statement, covenant and insurance tracking. Reviews current account status, to include but not limited to, Past Due accounts and Notes Matured. Makes appropriate recommendations for these accounts.


  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • Minimum 3 years of credit analysis experience.

  • Over 5 years of commercial lending experience in the Middle Market.

  • Basic knowledge of loan and financial analysis techniques and accounting with well demonstrated understanding of loan risk factors.

  • Knowledge of banking regulations, lending policies, procedures and techniques.

  • Comfortable with complex legal documents.

  • Strong negotiation, communications, organizational, customer service, sales and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional business development and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong networking ability and client following.

  • Attention to detail, ability to think creatively and solve problems.

  • Effective decision maker.
