Overview

This individual will be responsible for underwriting, credit monitoring and portfolio management for C & I, CRE, and bridge & construction lending.

Responsibilities

• Manages and oversees loan/deposit portfolio for relationship manager/team.

• Underwrite new & existing loan transactions as well as coordinate due diligence, loan doc request, and loan closings.

• Cross-sell deposit, trade, treasury management, foreign exchange, private banking, and other services to our existing client base as well as prospects

• Manage a loan portfolio of complex transactions; primarily CRE loan, C & I line or term loan, bridge loan, construction loans, etc.

• Structure transactions at the term sheet stage in conjunction with the relationship manager

• Perform other administrative duties required for the maintenance of a portfolio of clients

• Ensure the portfolio administration and risk management of each client relationship in compliance with established EWB credit policy, procedure and business strategy as well as commercial and regulatory guidelines

• As appropriate to experience, co-manage commercial relationships by analyzing financial data to determine the merits of specific loan requests, and recommend structure as well as manage the client relationship

• Responsible for credit risk and quality of the portfolio

• Assist with due diligence/analysis on new client relationships and opportunity memos as appropriate

• Partner with the Relationship Managers as the point of a contact for the client; acting as a liaison to the credit, commercial support staff and other business partners

• Monitor loan repayment activities and financial condition of borrowing clients and take necessary action to collect past due accounts and ongoing repayment ability of all other accounts. May assume overall responsibility for the credit quality of the loan portfolio

• May make presentations on specific loans and participate in the bank's loan approval process, recommending approval and appropriate structure of credits

• Manage the renewal process by working with the Relationship Managers and other key stakeholders

• Perform other duties and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or combination of education and directly related experience;

• 4 - 8 years of direct portfolio management experience in commercial real estate and C & I am lending;

• Demonstrates strong underwriting and analysis skills;

• Mandarin and English speaking fluently;

• Thrive for success and able to work independently;

• Detail and customer service oriented;

• Perform and operate CASH system Microsoft words, excel, etc.

• Develop problem loan credit solutions.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $70,000.00/Yr. - USD $140,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
