Position Overview

The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. seeks a Portfolio Analytics & Strategy Specialist Senior in Wilmington, DE to participate in the Retail Lending Portfolio Management team supporting strategy initiatives and execution. Specific duties include: (i) synthesize analytical results and develop, recommend, and implement risk strategies that improve lending decisions, assist in managing risk, increase revenues, reduce exposure to losses, meet business goals, improve performance and communicate conclusions; (ii) established baselines for strategies and track actual performance to expectations; (iii) use predictive models, third party data, and other tools to develop and execute appropriate segmentation and targeting for acquisition and portfolio strategies to provide insight into portfolio risk while complying with governance standards; (iv) work with business, data, and execution partners to design, develop, and monitor test designs and analytical reporting to track and enhance strategies; (v) design/enhance standard reporting suites for regular product/portfolio reviews; (vi) collaborate with the line of business, Finance, and Risk partners to assess and establish credit risk appetite and to understand its implications, as well as to establish policies and procedures governing the identification, monitoring, and management of risk appetite; and (vii) provide financial and risk reporting and analyses to maintain adequate controls over the financial reporting processes.

Job Description

Master's degree in Economics, Masters Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematical Finance, or Finance plus 6 years of experience conducting data analysis in the financial services industry is required. Experience required with the following: (i) handling, manipulation and conducting statistical analytics of large datasets using SQL and SAS; (ii) statistical modeling using Decision Trees and data analysis to identify high risk segments and synthesis of results for presentation to a less technical senior audience; (iii) financial lending credit risk management, especially acquisition and portfolio management risk analysis; (iv) utilizing data query tools including SQL and SAS to manipulate, analyze and interpret credit bureau databases; (v) P&L (profitability and loss) analysis in financial industry; (vi) writing and implementing SAS programs and macros for reporting, automation and data analysis for portfolio performance monitoring; (vii) advanced database management (writing complex SQL queries), advanced tools and software including SQL, SAS Enterprise Miner, advanced Excel (pivot tables) and PowerPoint; (viii) delivering data analytics in multimedia presentations to senior leadership; and (ix) preparation of dashboards from analytical data in a server environment using Tableau.

40 hours/week, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
