Job Title: Porter/Service Runner

Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and versatile individual to join our dealership as a Porter/Service Runner. This role is integral to the smooth functioning of various departments within the dealership, including sales, service, and administration. The Porter/Service Runner will be responsible for assisting in a wide range of tasks, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining the overall efficiency of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Vehicle Movement and Organization: Safely and efficiently move vehicles within the dealership premises, ensuring they are properly organized and easily accessible to the respective departments. This includes parking, relocating, and retrieving vehicles as needed.

2.Assistance to Sales Department: Support the sales team by preparing vehicles for display, ensuring they are clean, fueled, and presentable to customers. Assist with test drives and vehicle deliveries as required.

3.Support for Service Department: Aid the service team by shuttling customers to and from their destinations, maintaining cleanliness in service areas, and assisting with basic tasks such as parts delivery and vehicle inspections.

4.Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service at all times, including greeting and assisting customers upon arrival, answering inquiries, and directing them to the appropriate departments or personnel.

5.Maintenance and Facility Upkeep: Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dealership premises, including showroom, service area, and customer waiting areas. Perform light maintenance tasks as needed.

6.Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory by conducting regular checks, coordinating with relevant departments for restocking, and ensuring accuracy in records.

7.Other Duties as Assigned: Be willing to assist in various tasks across different departments as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the dealership.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.

• Physical stamina to perform duties that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

• Previous experience in a similar role, particularly within the automotive industry, is preferred but not required.
