Port Equipment Operator

Summary

JOB SUMMARY Pulls serviced refrigeration equipment to ready area to provide room at pre-trip lines. Stages gen-set chassis in the port and pulls decked out boxes from the port to the pre-trip lines.

Keeps reefer yard open for additional arriving reefers to service. Operates reach stacker and heavy lift fork-lifts to mount and dismount containers. Moves damaged containers to shop for repair.

Fuels and check fluids of the Tropical equipment. Identifies defects of Tropical equipment and reports back to supervisor. High School Diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCE: Two years in trucking or shipping operations experience.

Experience in operating tractor trailers and heavy machinery.

One year CDL experience operating equipment and fueling equipment.LICENSE: Valid Class A CDL with ability to obtain Tanker & HAZMAT endorsement.

Must pass DOT physical.

Fork-lift certification. TRAVEL: None
