Job Description:

Cerner is seeking an Interface Architect to join our Population Health Development team! The interface architect will plan and oversee interface installation at our client sites and provide senior level guidance to our associates and clients for interface architecture and design. Our interface architects are responsible for providing tier 3 troubleshooting and issue resolution, mentor and support associates in daily tasks and troubleshooting, code custom interfaces, lead interface design and specification review sessions with clients and mentor our associates.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

  • At least 3 years of information technology work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or related field

  • At least 5 years of database work experience

  • At least 3 years of HL7, X12, IHE or comparable interface work experience

  • At least 5 years of Linux command line work experience

  • At least 5 years of programming work experience

Expectations

  • Willing to travel up to 10% as needed

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
