The Supply Chain Manager (POP Supply Chain)partners with Procurement to define, implement, and manage a sourcing strategy for Wholesale/Retail permanent and seasonal materials. This entails the close monitoring of costs, quality, lead-times and planning to ensure that market needs are met. The Production Manager partners with the design team/supplier to ensure that a cost approach is used in the development of new tools through value engineering, and also makes sure all items meet desired delivery dates.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees and consolidates all marketing calendars in order to support the in Store Communication team to have clear milestones and deadlines to respect in store delivery dates.
Assists in Brief Creation defining the function, specification and need of internal stakeholders (Wholesale only).
Liaises with Procurement for sourcing strategy implementation (vendors scouting and selection).
Liaises with Logistic to define the most appropriate distribution strategy.
Able to create both Sales Order and/or PO Rec in SAP
Ensures production is cost effective (value engineering approach), supervises prototyping in partnership with Local and Corporate Trade Marketing/Creative teams.
Oversees vendors production process including:
Ensuring products are produced on time and are of good quality
Setting quality standards
Monitoring product standards and implementing quality-control programs
Reviewing vendors performance
Identifying training needs
Technical drawings management.
Liaising among different stakeholders e.g. Suppliers, Creative Department, Procurement, Demand Planning, and Marketing
BA/BS degree in relevant field, or equivalent experience
6+ years experience in planning/project management/Production based environment, and in a corporate environment
Knowledge and experience in planning and forecasting related activities within a structured framework
Demonstrated skills/traits including: highly organized, innovative, and high ethical standard
Knowledge and Experience in Sourcing Related Activities within a structured framework
Working Knowledge of Trade Marketing activities
Fundamental Knowledge of manufacturing processes for POS tools, POS Tools materials including MDF, Wood, Acrylic , Metal, Print and related finishes
Experience sourcing of displays, fixture materials and Print
Experience in managing multiple fast paced projects within a matrixed organization
Experience in preparing presenting reports and briefings
Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Strong Excel, PP, Outlook, etc.)
High level knowledge and understanding of different logistic/transportation methods
Working knowledge in SAP
