Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job):

Supervise pool staff, patrons and facility during the hours of operation.


  • Schedule pool staff and prepare weekly payroll reports.

  • Maintain entire pool facility, in compliance with local board of health regulations.

  • Perform other pool related duties as required.

  • Perform other aquatic related duties as assigned.

  • Perform related work as required.

Minimum Entrance Qualifications

  • Qualified applicants must have current certification in ARC Lifeguard Training, ARC BLS-CPR, ARC in Standard First Aid or Equivalent.

  • Three years of experience in the area of pool management.

  • ARC instructorship in the areas of Water Safety (WSI) and Lifeguard Training (LGT) is preferred.

  • Competitive swimming experience is preferred.

  • Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.

  • Ability to work flexible hours.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

C.O.R.I & S.O.R.I check required.

Perform Journeyman level preventive and corrective maintenance, and/or modifications to Masonry projects with minimum oversight. Perform Journeyman level tasks associated with the masonry trade. The incumbent follows University rules and regulations at all times, along with established safety procedures Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The incumbent performs the following duties and responsibilities. Performs other duties as assigned. * Safely and effectively perform a wide range of Journeyman level masonry tasks, including troubleshooting, repair, restoration, and modification. * Performs all facets of Masonry Trade including: * Plastering * Concrete work * Brick and block work * Tile Work * Ensures proper care in the safe use and maintenance of vehicles, tools and equipment. * Initiates productive work activity, works independently from CMMS work orders and accepts responsibility for work assignments. * Schedules and coordinates the completion of Journeyman level masonry work during the Housing Turnover Process and Dorm Readiness. * Work includes repairs, new construction and alterations. All work will match and blend with existing features. * Performs Journeyman level tasks associated with masonry projects. * Assists other tradesmen in more complex work tasks and projects. * Performs after hours, special events and emergency call in work. * Follows the department's established customer service standards. * Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must have knowledge of the installation, repair and restoration of masonry. * Well established (five years beyond apprenticeship, or equivalent) masonry skills, cement finishing, "strong background in plastering." and possess several years of Masonry Journey level experience in a commercial, educational or institutional setting. * Must have a high school diploma or possess a GED. * Must be able to properly and safely use the tools of the trade and safely carry out all assigned tasks. * Must be capable of carrying step ladders up or down several flights of stairs and be capable of working off step and extension ladders. * Must have a baseline level computer literacy or the ability to learn computer basics. * Must be capable of working with others on a team, yet be able to take on responsibility and function independently. * Must be an organized, self starter who is capable of working extended periods independently. * Must be able to read and interpret drawings, layouts and keep maintenance records. * Must have an excellent ability to work with other trades personnel and customers. * Must have a valid driver's license.
