Summary of Functions

To provide housekeeping services on a daily basis in a manner that is convenient to the guests, and to promote a positive image of the resort and the casino through professional service and attention to detail

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians- Internal Controls and Northern Quest Policies and Procedures.

  • Communicate and describe the pool and offerings and their benefits. .

  • Communicate all Fitness protocols and procedures to guest

  • Ensure the pool deck is wiped dry so it is not slippery.

  • Ensure fitness Center and restroom are clean and towels are stocked.

  • Ensure Fitness Center equipment is wiped down and sanitized.

  • Maintain a friendly, caring, and helpful attitude with guests and other staff members

  • Cleans and sanitizes all assigned areas in accordance with company policies and County, State and Federal health requirements including: The Spa, pool, exercise room and entire lower level of the resort. All furniture, walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, sills, corridors, elevators, and stairways of the first floors of Resort.

  • Stock, maintain, and secure all storerooms with all needed supplies.

  • Uses high lift or ladders to reach high areas for cleaning.

  • Remove all trash from designated hotel areas daily. Transports trash and waste to disposal area.

  • Performs special projects as directed.

  • Work in a manner, which will cause the least amount of disturbance to the guests, observing guest privacy and requests.

  • Record and report any maintenance problems found.

  • Know and abide by all company policies and procedures including safety, security, and emergency procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

  • Available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for Business Levels.

  • Responsible for maintaining a good attendance record.

  • May be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review Hearings.

Education

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Experience

  • Minimum of (1) month related experience or training prefered.

Skills

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Training in biohazard clean up and disposal.

  • General understanding of SDS and OSHA requirements.

  • Operation and maintenance of floor care equipment is preferred.

  • Basic to advanced level in custodial technician training.

  • Ability to follow verbal and written directions.

  • Skill in identifying and resolving problems under pressure conditions.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming Work Permit.

  • Washington or Idaho State Driver's License (Must be in possession while operating a Tribal Vehicle).

  • Hepatitis A & B shots.

  • Available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Physical Demands

  • Requires the ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 35 pounds.

  • Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discrimination in sound.

  • Constantly requires verbally expressing or exchanging ideas of important instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly.

  • Constantly requires repetitive movement of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

  • Often requires walking or moving about to accomplish tasks.

  • Occasionally requires standing for sustained periods of time.

  • Occasionally requires ascending or descending stairs or ramps using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.

  • Occasionally requires raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally.

  • Occasionally requires stooping which entails the use of the lower extremities and back muscles. Infrequently requires crouching.

  • Occasionally requires carrying 12 -18 lbs on your back ( backpack vacuum cleaner) while performing repetitive movements.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Physical and psychological tolerance to work on ladders and high lifts.

  • Tolerance to work in a smoke-filled environment.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to tobacco smoke, moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The worker is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes, and is occasionally subject to outside environmental conditions and to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
