Job Summary

The Pool Server provides prompt and courteous food and beverage service to pool guests while maximizing sales.

Essential Job Duties

  • Takes guests' orders for food and beverages: describes menu items, methods of preparation and prices.

  • Accommodates any special requests.

  • Upsells established menu items or specials to maximize revenues.

  • Serves menu items to guests in accordance with company The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa standards.

  • Performs pre- and post-shift work, to include stocking service station, making coffee, etc.

  • Assist in clearing tables, filling water glasses, etc.

  • Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of one to two year of serving experience required

  • Previous food service experience with general knowledge of restaurant and pool operations preferred

  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills

  • Ability to work outdoors in a hot and humid working environment

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Candidates must have a valid Food Handlers Card.

Physical Qualifications:

  • Frequently required to stand; walk; bend and lift trays weighing up to 35 pounds repetitively during entire shift

Job Summary: The Meal Relief Registered Nurse servicing the Medical/Surgical units, as a professional practitioner, assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care while he/she is relieving other licensed nurses during break/meal periods.
