Polyurethane Specialist

Purpose of the position:

Work as Polyurethane Specialist for chemical applications & coating processes like polyurethane (PU) casting, sandblasting, painting, etc. in FLS manufacturing. Responsible for providing related technical support to internal departments and external vendors.

Also, be responsible to prepare related data in ERP system. Support productivity through standardization, continuous improvement initiatives and so on. Lead a team of people to execute on time with the correct quality.

Key accountabilities of the position:

Responsible for recording the PU processes including documentation & management of the BOM & routing creation, working instructions, risk assessments, safety procedures, etc. Function as the main contact & communication window between PU production and product centers regarding chemical process technical discussion making.

Responsible for manufacturing processes related to the equipment & tooling (casting machine, molds, jigs/fixtures, etc.) selection including commissioning after installation. Responsible for workshop layout design and management for PU production. Gap analysis and improvement for PU casting standard hours.

Provide PU technical support to internal departments and suppliers, like troubleshooting for FLS internal manufacturing, participate in manufacturing cost evaluation, support for production productivity, purchase technical specification definition and clarification, etc. PU process improvement initiatives such as production line layout & optimization, routing improvements, etc. Audit production & manufacturing processes ensuring compliance with technical requirements.

Support the mechanical engineer during BOM creation, routing preparation and manufacturing technical support, etc. Other tasks assigned to support the workforce plus business development.

Key requirements of the position:

Education Background: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; Poly Technical Diploma with experience

Major: Poly-Science Engineering or Chemical Related Majors

Related Experience: At least 5-year experiences about Polyurethane casting or related chemical experiences.

Management Experience: Manager or Team Leader with Project Management experience is preferred.

Computer: Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.

ERP Related: MS Dynamics, Oracle, or similar ERP experience is a plus.

Others: Teamwork and excellent people skills is necessary.

Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
