Providence is calling a Polysomnographic Technologist (0.0 FTE, Nights) to Providence Milwaukie Hospital in Milwaukie, OR.

In this position, you will:

  • Perform routine and complex polysomnographic procedures including Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), Maintenance of Wakefulness Test(MWT), then correlate and compile diagnostic data and apply therapeutic modalities as necessary to patient's condition.

  • Have duties that may consist of scoring, scheduling, upkeep of electronic and paper files, database activities, departmental quality improvement and EMU equipment troubleshooting.

  • Perform routine EEGs and take call for routine EEGs on a rotational basis

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Licensure with the Oregon Respiratory Therapist and Polysomnographic Technologist Licensing Board as a Polysomnographic Technologist - or - Respiratory Therapist

  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills, interpersonal communication skills and the ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively

This is a full-time (0.85 FTE), benefited position. Schedule is Monday 1:30 p.m. to Midnight and Saturday and Sunday: 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. In this position, you will: * Perform ultrasound examinations according to physician orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated ultrasound equipment, taking into account the individual patient special or age-related needs. * Perform all duties in a manner, which promotes team concept and reflects the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy. Required qualifications for this position include: * Current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification (New graduates must be board eligible and obtain permanent certification within 6 months of hire) * Current Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) as a Medical Sonographer (New graduates must have OBMI temporary license upon hire and obtain permanent license within 6 months) * Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) certification * Completion of pledge to Image Gently/Image Wisely within 1 month of hire * Adherence to appropriate professional credentialing practice standards * Expert knowledge of anatomy and physiology, imaging principles and practices, as well as the ability to obtain high-quality images * Computer skills and knowledge of keyboard functionality * Ability to read, write and speak English Preferred qualifications for this position include: * 2 years of clinical experience in diagnostic ultrasound About Providence in Oregon As the largest healthcare system and largest private employer in Oregon, Providence offers exceptional work environments and unparalleled career opportunities.
