Facebook is seeking a Policy Solutions Associate to join our Politics & Government Policy team. This team is an external-facing arm of Facebook that helps to manage the company's strategy on elections. They also work with the world's governments and politicians on how to best use Facebook to connect with their constituents. This role is on our internal-facing team that makes the Facebook family of apps work for the Politics & Government Policy team and its partners by coordinating operations, products, outreach campaigns, and data insights. This is a full-time role with a focus on the U.S., Canada, and Latin America.

No two days are the same in this role, which requires fast, clear communication with cross-functional internal teams to maintain the highest levels of customer support for government officials, politicians, and advocacy groups. An understanding of comparative politics, project management, and online operations will be key to finding solutions that fit the unique needs of our partners in the U.S., Canada, and Latin America.

This position will be based in our New York or Washington D.C. office.


  • Become an expert in the support experience for government officials, politicians, and advocacy groups on Facebook and Instagram.

Coordinate with teams across the company to align internal processes to ensure top quality support for internal and external stakeholders.

Improve systems with feedback and recommendations.

Take the lead for elections-related scaled products, such as email campaigns and in-product announcements related to account security.

Run basic SQL queries to support team operations and manage data visualization.

Attend outreach events to provide in-person support to politicians, government officials, and advocacy groups.

Research and organize lists of Facebook and Instagram accounts belonging to governments, politicians, and political parties across global markets, ensuring that the lists include only authentic accounts.


  • Bachelor's degree or higher
    3+ years of experience in online operations, communications, customer service, advertising, or political campaigns

Knowledge of the political landscape in the US, Canada, and/or Latin America, especially related to international politics, and political systems

Communication experience and experience offering customer support over email and live at events

Experience working on a team while juggling responsibilities on behalf of multiple partners

Experience working independently and remotely from colleagues with a track record of taking initiative

Experience thinking strategically about issues, leading to recommendations and action plans

Experience developing and organize large data sets on Excel spreadsheets


  • Intermediate fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese
    1+ years of experience in politics

Experience with SQL or other programming languages

Passionate about providing world-class support experiences for government officials, politicians, and advocacy groups on the Facebook family of apps

As a member of Roku's Legal team, this position will help shape the regulatory and policy landscape in areas that are important to Roku's current business and future success by interacting with regulators, policy makers and influencers inside and outside of government. In addition, this position will collaborate with other members of Roku's Legal team to provide timely, pragmatic and actionable advice regarding the policy implications of Roku's products and services. This position will be responsible for identifying and prioritizing relevant regulatory and policy areas, creating and socializing positions and strategies, and owning the overall development and execution of the company's global government relations, policy formulation and government affairs initiatives. This position reports to the General Counsel and will coordinate with various organizations and individuals across the company (e.g. members of our platform, product, sales, engineering, corporate development and strategy, corporate communications, international and legal teams) to address evolving regulatory and public policy challenges and develop Roku's external narrative around policy issues. Primary Job Responsibilities: * Maintain a comprehensive understanding of legislation, emerging issues, and industry trends in the jurisdictions that impact Roku's current and future business, ensuring that relevant stakeholders throughout the company are informed with analyses of the significance, relevance, and business impact of these developments in a timely manner. * Advise business, product and engineering teams on policy implications during the product development and launch process. * Partner closely with business, product, engineering and corporate teams within Roku to align government affairs and public policy strategies with business needs. * Lead domestic and international policy projects on a wide variety of issues affecting Roku (e.g., net neutrality, privacy and data security, copyright and content protection, patent reform, trade policy, immigration, anti-trust and tax). * Cultivate, maintain and engage trusted relationships directly with elected and appointed officials and their staff members, community leaders, regulatory agencies, industry groups and professional associations to effectively advocate for Roku's policy positions. * Serve as a thought leader and respected representative of Roku, promoting the company's strategic vision, competitive position and policy perspectives externally to further our business objectives. Job Requirements: * JD or LLM degree with excellent academic credentials. * 10+ years of related experience in government relations and public policy, with proven abilities to develop and execute impactful government affairs strategies within the global TMT sector. * Experience within the tech industry and familiarity with Internet technologies, digital media, OTT, advertising technology, Big Data, IOT, and the surrounding domestic and international laws, regulations, policies and industry standards, including regulations and policies established by the FCC, FTC, DOJ, domestic self-regulatory organizations and their international equivalents. * Track record of effective and respected leadership of people and teams in a high growth company. * Proven policy leadership skills and executive presence, with excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills, and the ability to understand and clearly communicate technical issues to policymakers and media. * Comfort with ambiguity and pace, including the ability to assess, synthesize and share disparate and quickly changing information with necessary stakeholders in a clear, timely, actionable manner. * Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with business clients and other legal department members * High ethical standards and integrity and sound judgment. #LI-PP1 Roku New York NY
