At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Policy Analyst supporting CMS, you will be trusted to assist the team and ensure production of quality products. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Working on a dynamic team under Practice Improvement and Measures Management Support (PIMMS) contract that supports CMS in the implementation of the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). This team ensures CMS is reaching their legislative mandates by transparently, efficiently, and accurately implementing MIPS Quality and Improvement Activity performance categories.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Functions as a policy analyst by reviewing, drafting and producing rigorous, empirically-based policies and procedures that have been thoroughly researched to the policy making audience.

  • Summarizes legislative rules which impact program outcomes when applicable.

  • Designs, analyzes, interprets, and develops policy documentation, requirements, and specifications.

  • Serves as a resource expert for external customers utilizing expertise to research and resolve issues in a timely manner and customers' satisfaction.

  • Researches and produces ad-hoc narrative reports and option papers with minimal turn-around time and with a high level of accuracy.

  • Partners with clinical teams in reviewing requirements, specifications, and support to ensure they are in line with policy objectives.

  • Reviews documentation created by staff for accuracy related to policy

  • Performs detailed analysis and provides findings to the customer

  • Advises customers regarding potential challenges in implementation of policy

  • Perform thorough quality assurance and quality control reviews of documents and deliverables using prescribed checklists

  • Assists with writing and formatting policy and project documentation.

  • Assists with the preparation of training materials and performs training for staff and customers.

  • Provides recommendations and materials for customers related to national outreach and education.

  • Understands 508 compliance and applies principles to written documents to be posted to the web.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Additional Job Abilities:

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from an accredited college or university in related field

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe and SharePoint

  • Expert-level proficiency in formatting MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and PDF documents

The likely salary range for this position is $65,714 - $109,742, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
