This position performs advanced technical and professional work involved in collecting and analyzing Crime statistics to develop links between complex cases and patterns of crimes in the Specialized Investigations Division. Performs related duties as required.
Analyzes intelligence data to detect patterns of criminal activity
Prepares visual aids to support conclusions; develop flow, link and activity charts
Researches and disseminates information on criminal activities using local and national crime databases
Devises methods of utilizing information submitted by investigators
Prepares both narrative and statistical reports and make presentations; defend findings to department management
Develops financial profiles on individuals and businesses
Devises new systems and make recommendations for implementation
Acts as a liaison between the Department and other police and police related agencies, researching information on criminals and criminal activity
Analyzes raw data and reduce to usable intelligence information
Attends meetings and workshops as needed
May coordinate related activities in other areas of the department
High School Diploma and four (4) years of experience in administrative and/or organizational analysis including two (2) years of experience collecting and analyzing crime statistics.

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience in Criminal Intelligence Analysis
Knowledge of statistics
Knowledge of charting and graphing techniques
Knowledge of the principles and techniques of organizational management/efficiency studies
