The City of North Branch is a growing community that consists of over 36 square miles and a population of over 11,000. The police department has several areas of career development opportunities including investigations, school resource officer, Crisis Negotiations Team, Mobile Field Force, SWAT, bicycle patrol, and many training instructor opportunities (including field training officer, firearms, use of force, pepperball, 40mm launcher, chemical munitions, and taser instructors). The City of North Branch also has a take-home squad policy for officers who reside within 20 minutes of the city. Applicants must fulfill the minimum selection standards of the MN POST Board by the time of hire. The current 2024 salary range for this union position is $40.62 - $44.94/hr.
