CITY OF CLAIRTON POLICE OFFICER APPLICANTS The City of Clairton is accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Police Officer for the purpose of creating an eligibility list. Application form is available at the City offices which are open from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The application form can be e-mailed to you by contacting the City Manager at Managercityofclairton.com. Deadline for submission of applications is Monday, September 23rd, 2024 at 12:00 p.m., prevailing time. Completed applications and any required supporting documentation are to be delivered to the following:

City of Clairton Administrative / Finance Office Attn: City Manager 551 Ravensburg Boulevard Clairton, Pa. 15025 All applications must be in a sealed envelope marked: City of Clairton – Police Officer Application The following requirements are necessary of each interested applicant, having filed on the official application form prescribed by the City of Clairton.

• At the date of application, the applicant shall not be less than twenty-one (21) years of age.

• A diploma from an accredited high school or a graduate equivalency diploma (GED).

• Be a citizen of the United States of America and be eligible to legally operate a motor vehicle in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

• Be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a Police officer for the Clairton Police Department as determined by the physical and psychological testing.

• Be Act 120 Certified under the Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Act (Act 120), (MPOETC) 53 Pa. C.S.A. 2161 et seq. or has successfully completed Act 120 training and passed the final exam at the time of application.
  
  The examination process for the position of Police Officer shall consist of the following: Physical Agility test, Written Examination, Oral Examination, Background Check, Medical and Psychological Examination. THE PHYSICAL AGILITY, WRITTEN AND ORAL EXAMS WILL BE ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 2ND, 2024 BEGINNING AT 8:30 AM.
  
  No formal dress needed for oral examination. Start at $33.91 hour with health, dental & vision. 12 hour shifts with holiday pay and OIC pay.
