Minimum Qualification Requirements
Graduation from a standard senior high school or the successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test, supplemented by two years of college-level coursework in police administration and law enforcement and a minimum of three years of police administrative experience; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements; and holds an Alabama Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission certification or is able to obtain that certification within 6 months of appointment.
