NTT DATA Services currently seeks a PMO Technical Project Manager to join our team in Montgomery, Alabama (US-AL), United States (US).

The Risk and Issues Manager will play a key role in the successful implementation and adoption of large health care system implementations/enhancements. The Project Risk and Issue Manager will be primarily responsible for the risks and issues of the overall project from inception through closure. He/she will actively participate in the development and delivery of program and quality management services and associated deliverables.

The Project Risk and Issues Manager will work under the direct leadership of the PMO Program Manager.

Additional duties include:

  • Primary point of contact for all modularity project issues and risks

  • Works with Agency staff, Program Manager and Project Managers to identify Modularity Project issues and risks regardless of the program, project or vendor

  • Responsible for actively managing risks and issues to closure

  • Ensures consistency in risk and issue management process and procedures

  • Researches risks and issues to identify root cause and ensure complete resolution

  • Responsible for reporting on issues and risks bi-weekly

  • Support a project schedule and monitor key milestones and deliverables

  • Manage and report on project issues

  • Assess project risk and evaluate the effectiveness of mitigation strategies applied

  • Support NTT Project Management methodology, process and implementation guidance

  • Assist with the development, maintenance, and execution of the Program Management Plan and Integrated Project Plans

  • Monitor progress and quality against the established Project Management Plan

  • Evaluate whether the Contractor work plans, including tools and resource allocations, are appropriate and reasonable in meeting project timeframes

  • Participate in project activities and review and comment on essential project documents to ensure an effective project management process (including, but not limited to risk management, schedule and cost management, change management and issue resolution) is consistent with approved project plans

  • Monitor outcomes of project controlling activities such as risk identification and mitigation

  • Prepare or contribute to status reports and agendas for weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly meetings

  • Participate in and communicate organizational project strategy decisions

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or similar field or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Issue and/or Risk Manager or lead

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a manager or lead on a Medicaid or a Major Health Care Payer project

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as manager or lead on multi-vendor projects

  • Experience with Medicaid Enterprise Certification Tool Kit and Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) 3.0 including the maturity matrix and the Seven Conditions and Standards

  • Working knowledge of Medicaid Transformation Initiative
