We are currently searching for a PMO Program Manager to support an IT Program. This opportunity is full-time, and it is on site in the Washington, DC Metro area.


  • Establish and maintain program management support services, tailoring the project management approach to team and project needs.

  • Provide support to researchers in bioinformatics and genomics.

  • Organizing, directing, and managing all aspects of contract operational support functions involving multiple task orders that require managing teams of contractor personnel at multiple locations.

  • Manage and maintain contractor interface with senior levels of the customer's organization.

  • Provide overall direction of Program Activates

  • Responsible for P&L, human capital, strategic innovation, production operations, and support.

  • Provide support to programs in the areas of Software Engineering, System of Systems, and Modeling & Simulation in Acquisition, and reviewing these programs for system engineering, software development planning & management, interoperability, and system assurance.

  • Recommend novel solutions for complex systems risk management, performance and progress metrics, systems integration, complex system reliability, and early SE lifecycle activities, including risk reduction, technology development, and prototyping.

  • Provides project management support for government IT system projects

  • Supports software development lifecycle

  • Coordinates accurate and timely completion of scientific compliance documentation

  • Responsible for scoping, scheduling, planning, monitoring, and reporting on a daily basis

  • Identifies project risks regularly

  • Manages integrated project teams

  • Prepares meeting agendas, hosts meetings, takes minutes and identifies action items

  • Continually works with government staff and facilitates a positive working relationship and dynamic business/user needs.

  • Raise issues and exceptions; follow-through to resolution.

  • Devise clear risk mitigation strategies and engage appropriate stakeholders.


  • B.A. Degree

  • 7 Plus years of experience in project or program management, management reporting, or task monitoring.

  • Experience working with FDA/HHS highly desired.

  • Experience as a manager for a large enterprise program.

  • Client interface experience; proven experience managing client expectations & relationships.

  • Prior experience managing and/or participating in integrated teams including client and other third-party vendors.

  • Proven knowledge of program management, performance management, finance, and governmental procurement.

  • Experience working in agile environments is a plus.

  • Experience in research organizations.

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.


  • Project Management Institute (PMI) certified Project Management Professional (PMP) is required.

CAMRIS is seeking a Scientific Program Manager to support the mission of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) at The National Institutes of Health (NIH) by conducting and supporting basic, translational and clinical research to better understand, treat, and ultimately prevent infectious, immunologic, and allergic diseases. The Scientific Program Manager will provide the following services in support of the Vaccine Research Center, Clinical Trials Program: Responsibilities * Oversee the VRC CTP's Quality Management System, including leading a Quality Management team of subject matter experts, to ensure quality throughout all stages of the clinical trial process. * Ensure staff and program compliance with CTP's quality procedures and regulatory requirements. * Assess GCP compliance risk areas and develop and implement risk mitigation measures, including facilitating Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and instituting Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs). * Provide expertise and guidance on governmental regulations, agency guidelines, and internal policies to assure GCP compliance. * Plan and lead GCP sponsor audits of international and domestic clinical sites, contract clinical laboratories, and Contract Research Organizations (CROs) to verify and document compliance status and identify any compliance risks. * Conduct Trial Master File (TMF) audits. * Facilitate and track GCP training of functional areas and develop appropriate training for personnel involved in the execution of clinical trials and nonclinical studies. * Participate as a Subject Matter Expert in the evaluation and selection of CROs and other clinical and nonclinical service providers supporting CTP activites. * Develop and implement SOPs, policies and work instructions for GCP regulatory compliance. * Identify and seek appropriate resources for the functioning and improvement of the QMS. * Work with CTP leadership team and personnel on issues that require resolution or escalation. Qualifications * Minimum 5-7 years' experience in clinical research within Government, Biotech, Pharma and/or CRO and at least 5+ years' experience in Quality Systems related to GCP. Master's Degree preferred but not required. * Certified quality auditor preferred, but not required * Experience auditing clinical CRO's, clinical sites and investigator sites. * Strong understanding of domestic and international quality and regulatory requirements, regulatory agencies, and ICH/GCP. * Outstanding communication skills (interpersonal, verbal and written). * Strong leadership skills and experience independently managing complex projects.
