We are seeking a Primary Machine Operator to join our team in Byhalia, MS. This position is a 12-hour shift, 5PM-5AM, with a 2-2-3 rotation.

The PMO operates the equipment in a safe, effective, and efficient manner according to company standards, in order to support the production of quality mineral fiber insulation products.

What you will be doing:

  • Set-up and oversee the labeling system for packaging equipment.

  • Replace shrink rolls for shrink packaging as needed.

  • Ensure foil carriages are correctly positioned and sufficiently stocked.

  • Support product changeovers and hand stacking when required.

  • Re-wrap undamaged products, and report and dispose of damaged or faulty items appropriately.

  • Identify and correct mislabeled products.

  • Monitor alarms and promptly take corrective actions to resolve issues.

  • Report any unusual conditions or equipment malfunctions.

  • Manage breaks, rotations, and reliefs to maintain optimal output and efficiency.

  • Assist general Cold End operators to ensure proper equipment operation and accurate product packing.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the PMO deck workstation.

  • Update machine boards in accordance with ROPEX standards.

  • Complete the PMO Shift Report and distribute it to the Production and Process Engineering Departments.

  • Inform the next shift of any unresolved issues or tasks requiring attention.

  • Consistently work safely and adhere to established safety rules.

  • Perform other tasks as needed or assigned by the Production Supervisor or Production Lead.
