The Project Manager will manage various projects for the development and implementation of program enhancements and globalization of the Choice Privileges rewards program for all Choice brands.

Responsibilities include:

  • researching and defining business requirements
  • reviewing technical documents
  • monitoring project implementations and training
  • communicating to related departments
  • preparing the Choice Service Center (CSC) for changes and performing analysis on various metrics
  • oversee in-production program issues and activities and work with various departments on addressing issues, tracking behaviors, and implanting system and/or process enhancements

Experience, Skills, Education

  • BS degree in management or marketing or equivalent years of experience required; MBA preferred
  • significant experience in a coordinating a program or product enhancements
  • project management experience
  • experience working on an operations team a plus
  • experience working in an agile /scrum environment a plus
  • excellent technical, analytical and critical thinking/problem solving skills
  • strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation and public speaking skills, creation of training materials, and ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels
  • customer-focused and results oriented; ability to work with others in ways that fosters openness to new ideas, collaboration, respect, integrity and inclusion
  • strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and ability to coordinate multiple projects at once within tight timelines while keeping strong attention to detail
  • proficient Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Excel
  • ability to take the initiative to identify issues and resolve to completion

The role… Loyalty Marketing Operations is seeking a manager to oversee and enhance the day-to-day operations of email campaigns and data requests from internal and external partners. The Manager will play a critical role in driving revenue through best-in-class communication delivery strategies. This role is responsible for: * Understanding best-in-class deployment practices and current segmentation trends. * Driving short and long term strategies to assist in seeking higher revenue opportunities within campaigns utilizing contracted 3rd party vendors as well as optimized back-end processes. * Managing contracts related to the 3rd party vendor relationships for email deployment and ensuring the highest level of deliverability of communications into customer inboxes. * Seek alternate methods for optimized back-end process flows and cleanliness of data to assist in increasing the size of Choice Hotels email lists, contributing to the growth and maintenance of the customer data for the loyalty program, Choice Privileges. * Oversee a team responsible for the deployment of scheduled and ad-hoc email marketing campaigns as well as data segmentation. Will have 4 direct reports. What you will do… Information Management: * Develop and drive new strategies and tactics to ensure best-in-class deployment of email campaigns working with 3rd party vendors and internal clients. * Drive the overall product roadmap, related to the Information Management operations team, and manage prioritization and tradeoffs against customer experience and time to market. * Suggest changes and improvements to campaign processes. Proactively communicate, obtain approvals, and adapt processes based on an evolving landscape. * Oversee the deployment of successful marketing and transactional email campaigns ensuring accurate delivery of communications to correct targeted audiences containing relevant content and delivered on time. * Proactively identify and resolve technical issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals. * Liaise with key stakeholders and clients on the transfer of files ensuring security measures are met at all times. * Ensure that all communications comply with CAN SPAM requirements and that Choice is always adhering to global regulations * Assist with information sharing across internal teams such as Communications, the Choice Service Center and all other "need to know" departments so they are aware of each campaign and have copies for reference. * Document all campaign offers, audiences, rules and procedures, and manage campaign archives. Serving Internal and External Clients: * Work with a variety of internal departments to ensure that all email communications meet corporate standards and that all national promotions are accurately deployed. * Ensure that the campaign calendar is up-to-date and available for review and deadlines. * Deploy all campaigns as scheduled and track deliverables and opens for each campaign. * Ensure that all campaigns contain the required opt-out procedures and that consumer requests are honored. * Engage with contracted 3rd party vendors to ensure best contract terms and SLA compliance. Leadership: * Create a growth mindset culture for the Information Management organization. * Build and maintain key cross-functional relationships to improve efficiency and turnaround times, ensuring priorities are being met. * Achieve team results through communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. * Ensure team has complete understanding of objectives, assigned tasks, and projects, providing clarity when necessary. * Clearly communicate and ensure the team understands their value and how their contributions apply to the corporate mission and results. * Partner with Human Resources to attract top talent to the organization when necessary. Maintain top talent by recruiting, selecting, and orienting associates. * Foster professional development for team members by hosting team meetings to ensure cross functional communications, ensuring appropriate inclusion in meetings, training (including assisting in the development of training), creating career paths, and driving performance.
