Plumbing Service Technician

United Mechanical is seeking an experienced Plumbing Service Technician to perform maintenance, repairs, and alterations to commercial and industrial building plumbing/piping systems. Location: San Jose, CA and Alameda, CA Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and balance high rise building pressure issues. Troubleshoot and repair booster pump systems. Troubleshoot and repair boilers and associated components.

Understand controls, electrical and mechanical systems. Install hot water and heating systems. Use your strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose plumbing system failures (such as system leaks and stoppages) and repair various plumbing components on a variety of challenging jobs, such as:

Water closets Sanitation systems Fire sprinkler piping systems Storm drainage systems HVAC hydronic systems Requirements: Journeyman level experience with troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing plumbing systems (or ability to get Journeyman's card within 6 months). Applicable plumbing licenses/certifications (preferred, not required). High school diploma or equivalent. Communication and customer service skills.
