Position Description

Serve as the store expert on plumbing-related merchandise by providing customers and employees with comprehensive information on plumbing-related merchandise, and assisting customers in assembling, cutting, selecting, and loading merchandise. Also promotes Lowe s services by explaining features, creating quotes, and selling installations and following up with customers and vendors.

Responsible for managing inventory levels and pricing documentation to support sales and ensuring products are stocked and displayed according to standards. The Plumbing Pro also follows up with customers and vendors based on jobs and materials sold to ensure all project requirements are satisfied, and pulls merchandise for internet orders.

Job Requirements

Requires morning, afternoon, and evening availability any day of the week. Physical ability to move large, bulky and/or heavy merchandise. Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.

Minimum Qualifications
1 year experience selling plumbing supplies OR 2 years experience working as a plumber in industry OR 2 years trade or vocational school in the plumbing trade.

Preferred Qualifications
1 year experience working with contractors in a sales role or in the field. 6 months retail sales experience. Licensure or certification in the plumbing trade. Licensure or certification as a plumbing inspector.

Global Category Manager – Plumbing This position requires a commitment to work independently to drive change, and will primarily focus on procurement of services on behalf of KATERRA Materials. As a Global Category Manager with Katerra, you will be working in a dynamic, fast paced environment working closely with Katerra's Construction team, KATERRA's Materials staff, Katerra's Procurement Team, and external suppliers in the procurement of project materials to support our sourcing expertise corporate vision. Within our team environment, you will serve as the primary Supply Chain representative working on development of specifications, solicitation and analysis of bids, and negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions for projects of various sizes to support these areas. Some occasional travel to other KATERRA locations and suppliers may be required. Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Develop and maintain the corporate sourcing strategy for assigned categories * Manage relationships between all KATERRA teams and all stakeholders * Initiate, negotiate and maintain supplier agreements and pricing schedules * Own the supplier selection process and profitability of assigned categories * Control material benchmark variance relative to PPV * Own supplier relationship including development, costs, business terms, quality improvement, and performance evaluations * Communicate and follow-up on material request for quotes * Negotiate for category market advantages * Ensure a competitive sourcing environment leading to continuous improvements in quality, cost, service and technology * Set standard costs and work with cross-functional team as necessary to address material set-up, costing and price issues * Ability to properly identify and escalate problem solving in supply execution * Drive product specifications and innovations with KATERRA's Design and Engineering team in order to influence technical design decisions * Generates qualified data to be used for weekly, monthly, and quarterly Business Reviews as well as supplier improvement and development programs * Assists in the application and implementation procedures of data standards and guidelines on data ownership, coding structures, and data replication to ensure access to and integrity of data sets * Assists with auditing KATERRA defined ISO processes for the sourcing department as assigned * Manages, analyzes, and resolves data initiative issues and manages revisions needed to best meet internal and customer requirements while adhering to published data standard * Conducts data cleaning to rid the system of old, unused data, or duplicate data for better management and quicker access * Generates qualified data to be used to identify opportunities to improve sourcing options and aggregated demand Min / Max reorder points, etc. * Work with KATERRA IT to develop automated reports and maintain software solutions Required Skills & Experience * Industry related Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience * Extensive negotiation experience of multi-year supply agreements with global suppliers and a proven track record of supply cost reduction * Expertise with Microsoft office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) * Strong verbal, written and presentation skills * Excellent financial, people management, negotiating and mentoring skills Desired Skills & Experience * 5+ years of plumbing industry experience * Total Product Cost Model Experience a plus * Global Supply Chain experience managing cross functional teams in a fast pace and dynamic environment * Experience with continuous improvement and Six Sigma processes * ERP and PLM software system experience (SAP preferred) NOTICE TO THIRD PARTY AGENCIES: Please note that KATERRA does not accept unsolicited resumes from recruiters or employment agencies.
