Responsibilities

Perform plumbing repairs and light install work to existing fixtures. Assist in reviewing plumbing work, and best practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Completes general maintenance work requests as assigned.

• Completes inspections when assigned to a zone to ensure that facility and equipment are in good repair and functional.

• Oversees ordering of stock and/or parts to minimize downtimes.

• Participates and makes self-available as part of the snow removal team and may be required to work extensive hours.

• Completes work requests for repairs related to the appropriate trade of the mechanic as appropriate.

• Submits properly completed work requests at the end of each shift identifying 8 hours of work completed.

• Calls vendors for technical support, pricing and submits part and supply orders to the Plant Supervisor/Manager to minimize downtime. Includes stocking parts and supplies when they arrive.

• Installs new plumbing equipment and/or services in accordance with current national and local plumbing codes.

• Assist other trades in trouble shooting and repairing equipment as needed.

Requirements

State of Maryland Plumbing License

Masters Plumber License or Journeyman's License

Backflow License preferred
