Work with one of the best hospitals in the world and help our trades team grow with the support of those around The Pluming Mechanic will perform maintenance, installation and repair work on piped utility systems and fixtures and on the piping and connections of equipment. This work is performed under general supervision and using the tools and techniques of plumbing technology.

We are looking for a mechanic who has significant experience in a position where there is a lot of room for growth License Requirement: Journeyman Plumber license by the state of Maryland. GED/High School Diploma REQUIRED FOR ROLE Experience: 4 years relevant experience as obtained through the completion of an apprenticeship program or 10 years relevant experience.

All types of tools and equipment normally used in the plumbing trade, including specialized equipment such as power augers and pipe threaders, powered bench and hand tools (such as drills, grinders, compressed air), as well as non-powered hand tools. What the position entails: Requisitions inhouse stock items.

Requests non-stock items for purchase subject to supervisor approval. Recommends purchase of tools, materials and supply stock to supervisor. Amounts vary and are usually charged to departmental cost center, but may be subsequently allocated otherwise.
