The Plumber, under supervision of the Facility Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plumbing equipment/systems for the Brown & Brown Daytona Beach campus, plus all other designated company properties.

What You'll Do:

• Performs routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and fixes

• Install, maintain, and enhance plumbing systems and components, including pipes, valves, fittings and hot water heaters

• Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with plumbing systems and components

• Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows plumbing codes, blueprints, and standards

• Test plumbing systems and components to ensure proper functioning

• Complete required documentation of repairs and service information

• Ensure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts

• Perform preventative maintenance on plumbing systems and components

• Other duties may be assigned

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Working knowledge of plumbing theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipment

• Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial structures

• Comfortable reading and blueprints and building plans

• Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems

• Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs

• Working knowledge of Florida building codes and regulations

What You'll Need

Required:

• Completion of a plumbing program at a technical or trade school

• Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program

• 3-5 years of plumbing experience

• Valid driver's license in state of Florida

• Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools associated with plumbing work

• Willing to work overtime and take on-call

Preferred:

• Journeyman Plumber, licensed in state of Florida

• Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper
