Job Summary Statement:
The Manager, Playmate Merchandise will be tasked with building the merchandise plan for the Igloo Playmate product line, and managing the supply chain including inventory planning, customization, and delivery of finished goods on time and in budget.
The ideal candidate will have a background in merchandising and bring their energy, creativity and experience to a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This role will be an organized, detail oriented, and data driven. They will demonstrate cross-functional agility and strong communication skills. Primary focus will be on product development, including vendor sourcing and inventory procurement. Cross-functional team members will include licensing, design, planning, marketing, in-house manufacturing, and 3rd party decorators.
She/he will thrive in executing product strategy, bringing to life trend right and innovative product lines that will meet the needs of the consumer and achieve planned forecasts.
This role will be located in Katy, TX.
Build and deliver Playmate product on time and in budget
Create the appropriate merchandise mix of Igloo Playmate product
Lead cross-functional team of Product Managers to develop complimentary hardside, softside, hydration and accessory products for licensed product as well as clothing/accessories.
Manage all line plans, pricing strategies, and merchandising strategies for Playmate projects and oversee the product-line development process for licensed products
Ensure product lines are cohesive and in-line with project briefs
Work with Product Managers and sales teams to understand growth opportunities, SMU and localized product needs, as well as needs for future product lines
Research and gather market insights to formulate targeted product based on customer and consumer profiles
Perform continuous competitive analysis and reporting
Work with domestic and overseas vendors to develop products that embrace our brand tenets, pushing innovation while maintaining our margins and inventory targets
Negotiate product quality, purchase quantity, landed cost, and delivery with vendors
3 years of merchandising experience
3 years of buying experience
BS, BA or related degree, or equivalent related professional experience
Must understand financial metrics such as sales, gross margin, and turn
Assortment strategy, planning, and execution experience
Experience working with and leading cross functional teams
