Job Title: Play Tester

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Comply with all policies and procedures

• Comply with all safety procedures and PPE requirements

• Maintain a clean and orderly work area

• Be a team player

• Must follow direction of the immediate Supervisor

• Monitors, evaluates, and directs testing staff; develops test procedures

• Performs finished instrument tests and audits

• Develops daily test data matrix

• Provides input to customer questions related to professional instruments

• Works collaboratively with Engineering and QA on New Product Development Projects

• Work directly with Operations Project Manager and plant personnel to identify improvement needs and corrective actions

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• Develop, monitor, and revise written testing/repair procedures; provide new tester training and evaluation

• Play tests both professional and other level instruments to assure process stability and outgoing quality assurance

• Performs regulations and adjustments as required

• Compiles daily test yields matrix; develops corrective action plan with manufacturing and quality

• Process customer warrantee returns as needed. Monitor and responds to any customers return issues

• Document repair/defective product and work with Engineering and Quality assurance personnel to resolve

• Provide support to Corporate Marketing initiatives

• Active participation of New Product Development Team

• Complete Clean & Pack Process per daily production requirements

• Other duties as assigned

PRE-DETERMINED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Regular attendance

• Must be able to understand written and verbal instruction

• Strong interpersonal skills (verbal and written) with an emphasis on working in a team environment

• Demonstrated planning and organizational skills

• Must be able to schedule and prioritize work

• Must be proficient in playing instrument hired for

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift 35 pounds unassisted

• Frequent standing and walking

• Ability to bring objects into sharp focus visually

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Hearing and vision acuity required

• Requires repetitive hand/arm movement, constant fingering and grasping to play instruments and upper body movement - keyboard and monitor use

• Ability to sit a majority of a shift as needed

• Ability to make judgments, perform repetitive work, attain tolerance to specific standards
