Job Description:

Shift: Monday

  • Friday (3:00pm

  • 11:30pm)

Purpose: This position will be responsible to provide technical assistance to Production, Process Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support production by providing technical assistance.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems with plating processes and equipment by working with Process Engineers, Production, Quality, Maintenance and Lab.

  • Communicate technical issues with Process Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Lab on a daily basis.

  • Assist in the startup and development of new equipment/plating lines.

  • Optimize plating processes through troubleshooting/problem solving activities to ensure that the most robust processes are being used in production.

  • Assist production with sampling of products.

  • Assist in training operators on plating equipment, processes, and materials.

  • Assist in the maintenance and inventory of spare parts.

  • Follow all standard operating procedures and work instructions.

  • Document all activities per standard operating procedures and work instructions.

  • Continually improve standard operating procedures, work instructions, and processes.

  • Support team efforts.

  • Develop process and cost improvements and savings.

Process Engineering Tech will work primarily with Plating in Lincoln with some contact with outside vendors.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED

  • At least 5 years' plating experience

  • Ability to read blueprints

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds

Skills & Abilities:

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Effective interpersonal skills

  • Good organizational skills

  • Basic computer skills

Preference will be given to candidates with a 2 year technical degree in a related field.
