Experience with UNIX/Linux environments
Experience deploying cybersecurity solutions with specific focus on cross domain solutions that meet NSA/UCDSMO and NSA Raise the Bar security requirements, cyber guards and data diodes in the tactical environment
Wide comprehension of how various IT infrastructure components work together, including Servers/Workstations, network equipment, battle management and mission command systems, tactical communications and networking systems, and/or intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems
Bachelor's of Science or Technology degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics is seeking a Platform Security Solutions Architect who is passionate about identifying the right technical solutions to meet customer needs in support of the tactical cross domain product line. A technologist that understands the tactical networking landscape, and can effectively identify and communicate risks and the security tactical cross domain solutions provide. As a Platform Security Solutions Architect, you will become an expert in all aspects of the cybersecurity and cross domain programs, and work closely with onsite engineers, administrators, and XML script developers. You will work in a secure, fast paced environment with continuous integrations and leading edge technologies. You will understand the market needs to influence future product development and enhancements, and assist in providing the right solutions for today's customer missions. You will actively engage with General Dynamics and Government customer leadership members to communicate your strategies through verbal and written presentations.
Analyze current tactical architecture and propose, design, and implement future cross domain or cyber guard enhancements
Identify customer needs and requirements, plan and present future product road maps
Work with engineering, business development, sales staff and customers to assess potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications
Contribute to the development of product specifications and requirements
Conduct market research to determine requirements for current and future products as well as potential partner relationships for the products
Effectively communicate issues and solutions to wide audience of technical and non-technical members
Conceptualize, develop and implement IT architecture solutions in a secure customer mission space
Identify all required components for cross domain solutions integration including hardware/software procurements, tactical power sizing, network design, and deployment strategies
Work closely with System Integrators/Engineers and Administrators to define and align tasks for solution implementations
Form key relationships with all members of the technical service team and act as the bond that integrates the various technical duties together
Work closely with technology vendors to evaluate products through technical exchange meetings and product evaluations
Comfortable working on site in a secure classified environment
Red Hat Enterprise Linux preferred
Familiarity with MIL-STD 6017/A/B/C Variable Message Format (VMF), Full Motion Video / Key Length Value Metadata (KLV-FMV), NTIF/NSIF Image, MIL-STD-6016E (LINK-16), MIL-STD-3011, (JREAP-C) and VoIP
Familiarity with Advanced Content Filtering for protection against zero-day attacks is desired
Working knowledge of XML including schemas is desired
Military operational experience with these systems is a plus
Experience with integrating firewall solutions, intrusion detection and intrusion protection solutions is a plus
Experience with developing cross domain solutions in a tactical environment, combat or tactical vehicles, unmanned airborne systems and tactical marine systems is a plus
