Summary:
The Global Platform Publishing team implements and deploys on-service/in-store offerings across products (iTunes Store, Apple Music, App Store, TV App, Books Store) and platforms (Desktop, Apple TV, iOS).

Do you have experience with web-based Content Management Systems?You show familiarity with bug tracking/ticketing systems

You exhibit a strong attention to detail, and enjoy developing operational efficiencies

You have experience working directly with Engineering teams

You have experience working directly with Editorial and Creative teams

You have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely across multiple audiences and partners, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts in layman's terms.You are comfortable setting and enforcing deadlines, and managing workflows

You should exhibit confidence in calling out issues and presenting to senior management on project status and schedules

You have a deep familiarity with the Apple ecosystem of services and hardware (Mac OS X, iOS, Apple Music, iTunes, App Store, iBooks, Podcasts, iTunes U, Trailers, Apple TV, etc.)A knowledge of HTML/CSS/Perl/PHP/Python is a plus

You are well versed in pop culture, media, and are passionate about entertainment.

The Platform Publisher works closely with Editorial, Creative, and Production teams to manage, assemble, QA, and publish digital content assets across desktop, AppleTV, and mobile devices. An expert across our back-end content management systems (CMS) as well as our front-end client featuring apparatus, a Platform Publisher collaborates with local editorial to advise on what's possible, test new approaches, and guide teams to successful solutions.

With a unique view into many concurrent projects, an effective Publisher is able to provide a service akin to an air traffic controller, deploying current updates while simultaneously queuing up future initiatives. Thorough and robust Staging/QA efforts ensure our campaigns are timely and error-free and preserve a high-quality customer experience. Increasing organizational efficiency, and maintaining featuring accuracy, a Platform Publisher fills a key role in safeguarding the integrity of the Apple Media Products ecosystem.

In addition, they will drive required metadata, tagging, titling, and documentation associated with platform/license delivery. Responsibilities: * Facilitate the Delivery Required in License agreements * Converse with Tech & Product team to help automate solutions where possible * Oversee Adjustment to Content by editors * Monitor and Track Content Delivery in line with Rights Management Software * Interface with Audience Development team to Optimize Content where possible on platforms * Review and comment on tech guidelines and episode catalogues in line with delivery * Interface with Brand's and their internal resources to estimate any adjustments * Interface with Legal to Clear Titles as necessary * Draft daily pitch emails from all brands for 3rd Party Distribution Partners * Coordinate necessary art assets * Coordinate Platform Access where necessary * Assemble and Maintain Programming Schedule/ Delivery Calendar * Update Team on Progress/Status/Issues/Troubleshooting on Weekly Basis at minimum. Qualifications: * 3+ years prior experience in Studio Deliverables and Digital Distribution * Knowledge of file formats such as Prores 422, 422HQ and 4444, MXF, MP4, H.264, DPX, Mono/Stereo Audio, XMLs, EDLs * Experienced with Adobe Suite, Final Cut Pro X/7, Compressor, Audition and After Effects * Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States Desired Characteristics: * Knowledge of Platform / Licensor Requirements * Detail oriented, organized and able to complete requests within an allotted time frame * Content manager, QC Operator and deliverables or DIT experience desired * Ability to learn, and advise / improve upon internal technology / product * Ability to interact effectively and harmoniously with other people and multiple departments * Ability to understand, track, and manage large libraries of digital content * Good at Communicating with Others * Interest in the evolving Entertainment Business a plus About Group Nine Media: Group Nine Media is one of the world's largest digital-first media companies, boasting over 5 billion monthly video views and reaching 80% of U.S. adults in their 20s.
