Platform Product Manager, Web Store

The Web Store Platform Product Manager is proficient in the use of player insights and data in driving revenue growth for Niantic's portfolio of games. This role requires:

• Deep understanding of web store monetization principles and mechanics for F2P mobile games.

• Experience in developing content management tools and payment solutions.

• A track record in meeting financial targets.

• A demonstrated ability to drive collaboration across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement platform monetization strategies for Niantic's portfolio of games, with a focus on web monetization.

• Own player-facing web channels and internal team facing SKU management portals.

• Employ customer and player understanding and empathy to define the right problems and products we are pursuing. Drive process for product discovery, roadmaps and OKRs with the singular mission to make our games successful.

• Drive alignment with cross functional teams such as Engineering, Design, Games, Legal, Finance, Accounting and BD to create a cohesive vision of Niantic's monetization platform.

• Conduct regular KPI reviews to track and enhance platform utilization, user engagement, and revenue metrics.

• Perform value analysis to ensure product decisions drive desired business outcomes

• Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders, including regular and reliable attendance and participation in meetings.

• Required in-office 2 days on Wednesday and Thursday.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience.

• High degree of proficiency in driving data-informed product decisions, with the ability to leverage data to power segmentation and personalization. SQL fluency a plus.

• Self-motivated and proactive, a high tolerance for ambiguity and a willingness to make calls with limited information.

• Worked with competing resources and priorities, through the product life cycle from planning, through to launch. Experience at conveying tradeoffs through detailed product and technical specifications.

• Experience in collaborating with engineering teams to assess technical solutions, and build scalable solutions.

• Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams like Design, Data Science, Marketing, Legal and Business Development to drive growth.

• Enjoys building new growth levers and thinking creatively from first principles.

• Experience in ecommerce, payment platforms or growing web stores for F2P games is a plus.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and handle stress appropriately and/or ability to solve practical problems and be sufficiently adaptable to handle dynamic situations with little advance notice.

• Experience working on cross-functional teams with ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications, including synchronous interactions with others.

The total compensation package for this position includes a new hire offer base salary range of $183,600 - $204,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

Individual pay within this salary range is determined by work location and additional factors, including assessed job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
