The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Platform Operations Quality Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Leading quality assurance, quality engineering, quality control, and quality systems for the operations platform. Own and report on key quality metrics to the operations platform team and division leadership. Champion and drive resolution to quality issues, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
Leading quality assurance in product design and development supporting the new product pipeline for PeriOperative and Patient Warming Therapeutic Area.
Working in a collaborative and agile manner with the operations leadership team to develop and drive strategies, objectives and goals to meet division and business requirements. Represent and champion quality and customer satisfaction within the platform.
Working with manufacturing plant teams to monitor and ensure compliance to the global HCBG Quality Management System.
Championing a culture of continuous improvement to drive customer satisfaction, ensure compliance to global regulatory requirements, and achieve business and plant objectives.
Measuring, monitoring, and managing key quality processes (product realization, supplier quality, CAPA, nonconforming material, change management, complaint management, risk management, quality investigations, stability protocols, design quality assurance, quality audits) to ensure compliance, prevent non-conformances and drive continuous improvement.
Implementing global quality and regulatory strategies aligned to global regulations, 3M Health Care Business policies and business strategic plans.
Developing solutions for high complex and multi-faceted problems, which require ingenuity, creativity, innovation, and strong analytical skills.
Networking effectively across all division/business stakeholders and plants to drive business priorities and capitalize on best practices.
Implementing corporate strategies related to Quality and Business Transformation.
Establishing leadership and shared ownership for the Quality Culture within the PeriOperative and Patient Warming Platform.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Five (5) combined years manufacturing, quality, laboratory and/or production environment experience within a private, public, government, or military environment
Two (2) years leadership experience
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited institution
Experience in the Health Care Industry
Knowledge of Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Quality Systems
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster excellent collaboration
Experience in cross-functional operations roles (manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma, laboratory, supply chain)
Ability to lead internal and external audit activities
Ability to communicate at all levels
Strong risk management and critical thinking skills
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international
Relocation: Is authorized
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
