Join the team which powers the platform for Microsoft's first party real time communications. We develop one of the largest scale, business critical services in Microsoft.

One of our major goals this year is to enable applications to integrate with Teams and enable communications scenarios to be embedded in applications. This includes exposing both end user and bot graph API's. To get an idea you can look here for the calling and online meetings graph API's that in beta and will soon be GA.

The API's need to be available globally and scale to millions of users. You will have a chance to work with the cutting edge technology stacks and infrastructure including Azure, Graph API's, Schema less DB, Distributed caching, Service fabric, Big data etc. Every service built must be highly scalable, highly available and extremely performant in geo-redundant multi-tenant systems and honor obligations for data sovereignty, privacy, security and compliance.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional software development experience

  • 3+ years of leading an engineering team

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

We are looking for a seasoned Engineering Leader to lead development efforts in our IC3 Platform. This is an opportunity to lead a fast-paced, high-impact foundational project with cutting edge technology.

We are looking for a top performing principal engineering manager, who would like to work in a fast paced environment, building large scale systems that is resilient through changes and drove innovation in scale. The ideal candidate is very hands on and has successful management experience and strong product design and development skills as well be a process and people champion. You will be a key member of the leadership team: driving critical design initiatives, taking part in strategic and tactical decisions, being accountable for shipping a complete product that succeeds with our customers.

The BPM Manager - Data Engineering Lead is a critical leadership role on the CSS BI team. You and your team are responsible for the design and implementation of our data platform, including security & compliance, information architecture, taxonomy & MDM standardization, and the acquisition, organization, and structure of all data required for CSS decision making. You will need to be well versed in building, developing, and executing against strategic & tactical data engineering roadmaps that leverage Microsoft's BI and Cloud technologies. Additionally, you will need to build, develop, and lead a team of BI developers to successfully execute on our roadmap, and achieve your strategic objectives. KEY QUALIFICATIONS: 10+ years of BI & Data Warehouse development, delivering scalable BI applications 5+ years in a leadership role managing data engineers on a BI team with excellent coaching skills 3+ years of experience developing robust, scalable and secure solutions on Azure Expertise in T-SQL and SQL development using stored procedures & frameworks Familiarity and experience using Azure Databricks, Spark and/or other Big Data technologies Experience building out analytical tabular models in Analysis Services and Power BI Experience implementing solutions for effective handling and processing of GDPR and PII Experience delivering data solutions via Agile and/or DevOps methodologies Excellence problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills Understanding of Machine Learning, Data Science, and Advanced Analytics – specifically in the configuration & structure of data sets to support advanced analytic projects & work Knowledge of Microsoft data assets & ecosystem, including financial, marketing, sales, services, and engineering domains An attention to detail with self-discipline and a drive for results.
