Job summary

Our client'sConsulting team is looking for a Platform Consultant to join us in Sunnyvale, CA. In this role, you will work directly with our client's customers and partners to implement platform solutions using our client's open source software. You'll work on-site with the customer to analyze, design, architect, develop, test, and deploy solutions per the customer's business requirements. You will have the opportunity to further your technology experience by becoming a Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Certified Engineer (RHCE).

Primary job responsibilities

  • Support a very large Enterprise Linux (RHEL) deployment

  • Support one of the largest Satellite Deployments in the world

  • Be the subject matter expert at the client site, addressing the technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs

  • Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of complex open source solutions

  • Assist customers in designing, developing, and managing their system provisioning strategy

  • Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions in a professional manner

  • Assist the customer with integrating third-party applications to Enterprise Linux (RHEL), including tools like Puppet, Chef, and Centrify

Required skills

  • Experience with Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system security, system deployment, and system administration

  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with Linux kernel internals, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, bug fix updates, and core builds

  • Highly motivated with the ability to learn on your own, as well as quickly pick up new technologies and best practices

  • Ability to communicate with customers in a professional manner, give presentations, as well as work one-on-one with customers

  • Certified System Administrator (RHCSA); Certified Engineer (RHCE) or plans to get certified

  • Python, PostgreSQL, Erb syntax, Restful API, Ansible skills are a plus

The Web Platform team under the Customer Engineering org is looking for an experienced JavaScript developer with expert knowledge of NodeJS and ReactJS.
