KI, a world-class supplier of innovative and award-winning furniture solutions for business, educational, and healthcare environments is seeking a part-time Plastics Technician to join our Green Bay Manufacturing Facility on our 1st Shift. This position is a job share, you will initially train full time 6am-2pm, then the schedule will be 6am-2pm Tuesdays and Thursdays, with 6am-2pm every other Friday.

The Plastic Technicians have two main duty functions:

  • Operating Plastic Injection Molding machines to provide quality seats, backs and other plastic components to assembly areas.

  • Assembling some styles of chairs as the seats and backs are produced.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating plastic injection molding machines

  • Performing finishing procedures to parts

  • Packaging parts and assembling chairs.

To support these main functions the position also performs color changes to equipment, read and follow production schedules, stage and move work in process, and complete production sheets.

Other characteristics that may be helpful:

  • Ability to learn

  • Previous Injection molding or machine operator experience

  • Leadership ability

  • Responsible and able to make sound decisions

Job Category: Manufacturing/Operations Job Description: KI, a world class supplier of innovative and award-winning furniture solutions for business, educational, and healthcare environments, is seeking a full-time Plastics Technician to join our Green Bay manufacturing facility on our Weekend Workforce A shift. Weekend Workforce A shift individuals receive an hourly shift differential of $1.25. A $1.00/hour raise is also given within the first year of employment. To learn more about KI, please visit www.ki.com Job Duties: * Operate injection molding machines, including trimming and packaging of parts. * Assemble chairs, including packaging and labeling of product * Inspect parts produced to ensure quality * Pack and label knockdown product. * Clean work area/machinery. * Participate in continuous improvement activities. Minimum Requirements: * High School Diploma or Equivalent Value Added Skills: * Mechanically inclined with previous manufacturing experience, but not required * Team Player * Computer knowledge * Willingness to learn * Ability to train on any shift * Positive Attitude Physical Requirements: * Working in areas where it can get warm * Working in a smoke free environment * Activities including standing, walking, lifting, twisting and bending * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. * Willingness to assist in any given area of the plant if your area is slow Shift: * This is a Weekend Workforce A Shift * Hours are Saturday 10pm-6am and Sunday 10pm-6am * Shift premium of $1.25/hour * Overtime during busy season KI offers a welcoming work culture with competitive benefits for eligible employees.
