Plastics Set-Up Technician - Graveyard

Set-up, remove and troubleshoot injection mold tooling and auxiliary equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on injection molds.

This position, once trained, will be on a 12-hour shift. This will entail 36 hours one week then 48 hours the next. Out of a 14 day period, this position will work 7 days and have 7 days off in a rotating fashion. Overtime is paid for anything worked over 10 hours in a day, so a lot of overtime opportunity!

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Ability to set-up molds.

• Ability to troubleshoot machine processes.

• Ability to read specifications to determine machine set-up and prescribed temperature and time settings.

• Ability to repair and maintain machines and auxiliary equipment using hand and power tools.

• Enter molding parameters in the press.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Required Skills

• Strong written/verbal communication

• Good decision-making skills

• Ability to work under time constraints with changing priorities

• Regular and predictable attendance

• At least two years recent experience in an injection molding environment

• Excellent math skills needed

• Ability to read blueprints and other engineering drawings

• Knowledge and ability to use various hand tools

• Basic PC and internet skills
