Job Overview

TE's internship program is designed to provide interns with real world experience to enhance classroom knowledge. Uniquely crafted assignments and meaningful projects provide interns with a challenging 10 12 week experience. Interns will gain exposure to senior leadership and be given professional development opportunities. At the end of the summer, interns will be provided the opportunity to pursue full-time placement within TE Connectivity.

TE Connectivity has a Plastics Engineer summer internship available in Winston Salem, NC within the Automotive Business Unit. This position will support the Automotive Launch and Process Engineering Groups.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • This role will support Manufacturing Development Engineers in daily activities relating to the design, deployment and optimization of injection molds.

  • The Intern will work within the new business quote team department to provide product design modeling support for Design for Manufacturability reviews.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented sophomore or junior currently working toward a Bachelor's Degree in Plastics Engineering and who meets the following qualifications:

  • A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0

  • Proficient with Creo

  • Demonstrated project management capabilities with an emphasis on strategic thinking, teamwork, and results-driven implementation

  • Comfort dealing with ambiguity and ability to manage multiple projects

  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills

Responsibilities & Qualifications Reporting to the Strategy & Business Development Leader of Global ICT (Industrial & Commercial Transportation), you will take a leading role in the development and execution of various strategic initiatives within ICT, such as adjacent products, emerging markets and OEM/customer growth. You will be working closely with the ICT regional team and automotive/corporate team as well as have close engagement with external parties such as OEMs and research agents. The position is based in Winston Salem, NC.
