THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY: Plant Superintendent
Manage and direct shift supervisors and process engineers
Provide manufacturing schedule, priorities direction to manufacturing supervisors insuring all customer delivery requirements meet 100% on time delivery performance. Manage labor headcount and costs to budget targets
Optimize material usage insuring proper regrind utilization.
Insure all equipment and tools are effectively maintained.
Coordinate with Maintenance Manager on repairs, upgrades, etc. required to support press equipment utilization targets. Drive and support quality improvements required in conjunction with Quality Department staff
Establish and drive efficiency improvements with the process engineers: cycle optimization, quality improvements, tool enhancements, etc.
React to various causes of supply chain and manufacturing interruptions and implement countermeasures to protect customer delivery requirements. Coordinate delivery deadlines with Production and Shipping personnel.
Maintain customer and supplier delivery rating performance data, achieving customer / company goals.
Collaborates with MP&L leadership and industrial engineering to assure optimum material flow, facility layout for inventory and warehouse organization.
Drive continuous improvement by implementing actions to improve total cost, delivery, and inventory performance. Create, update and manage bill of materials, assure 100% accuracy.
Champion activities to develop and implement lean material flow processes
Develop and implement plans to achieve material cost reduction goals.
Participate in the development of new model program requirements and assure engineering change control processes are robust.
Plant Superintendent
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the automotive industry is preferred
Minimum of 5 years experience is preferred
Strong supervisory, project management, and leadership skills are necessary to prioritize, coordinate, and manage personnel and task conflicts
Ability to calculate and analyze data, generate reports, present information, etc.
Demonstrated ability to research and recommend new products and processes
Must be able to initiate implementation of continuous improvement processes
Working knowledge of MS office software applications
React to various causes of supply chain and manufacturing interruptions and implement countermeasures to protect customer delivery requirements.

Maintain construction schedules, job site safety, erosion and sediment control standards, quality control, variance budgets, and customer satisfaction throughout the construction process. RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain and coordinate construction schedules for homes in multiple neighborhoods that meet or exceed WJH goals. Communicate regularly with customers and complete three customer orientations throughout the construction process. Customer Satisfaction is our #1 GOAL! Complete all necessary paperwork for homes under construction i.e. utility applications, internal checklists (pre-lot inspection and quality checklists) Coach vendors for improved performance and report to WJH Support when vendors fail to meet contracted obligations Perform daily inspections to maintain Quality Standards throughout the process Monitor Job Site safety by completing regular site inspections Setup and maintain erosion and sediment control standards on every job site Complete Biweekly payment authorizations for all vendors Work to decrease all unnecessary variance expenses Note and communicate design or plan issues to purchasing for review Recruiting new vendors to work for WJH Complete necessary punch work in order to eliminate variance and ensure closing deadlines are met PREREQUISITES Technical construction ability to manage construction resources and to diagnose and resolve field problems. People skills to articulately and professionally handle conflict with customers, building inspectors, and trade contractors. Ability to train trade contractors on construction techniques and field problem resolution. Organization aptitude to manage the scheduling of all construction resources. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent certification, accreditation, or job experiences.
