The Plant Scheduling Supervisor is responsible for supervising the scheduling of Assembly Finished Goods (FG) and Organic/PVD components through SAP for Arkansas Faucet Operations (AFO). This includes ensuring timely order management of materials, master data management, and inventory control (accuracy, kanban/ store sizing) to meet customer delivery expectations. Actively drive improvement initiatives to reduce stockouts, raise product availability, and lead on-time delivery efforts. Key performance indicators: inventory health, schedule adherence and production expediting costs.

  • Oversee review and release of planned orders and MRO replenishment items through the SAP system.

  • Oversee scheduling functions to ensure sufficient inventory levels for on-time delivery, without excess inventory.

  • Integrate new product requirements into the schedule to support launch date commitments.

  • Ensure accurate inventory levels for purchased and manufactured items at the plant level.

  • Works closely with Purchasing/Sourcing team to identify issues, develop solutions/timing; escalating as needed to Supply Chain Manager to avoid disruption to product availability.

  • Ensure plant level and interplant customers receive timely and accurate commitments for delivery of components.

  • Supervise functions that support production and customer needs within budget for plant.

  • Ensure accurate and timely WIP area store set up, review and resizing as needed, conducting periodic audit and ensuring set targets are achieved.

  • Handle special projects such as promotions, rollouts, and new product inventory manipulation.

  • Support Inventory Control to identify and correct master data setup or transactional issues. Drive implementation of KMMS, continuous improvement and cost saving objectives for the business in areas of responsibility.

  • Lead/Support other projects as needed by the business.

  • Create and maintain scheduling procedures.

  • Support and develop direct report associates in their career development.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, operations management, industrial engineering, a related field OR experience equivalent to degree.

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience within a manufacturing environment encompassing some or all of the following aspects:

  • Consumer or industrial products

  • SAP experience

  • Mutli disciplinary teamwork

  • Strong analytical ability and skills

  • Ability to operate under pressure and think & act on own initiative

  • Good communication/presentation skills

VIEW JOBS 7/9/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-10-07T00:00 Production Supervisor (2nd Shift) Work Mode: Onsite Location: Sheridan, AR Opportunity The Production Leader executes the Focus Factory Leader's plan of the day, as it applies to Organics, ensuring daily Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost goals are met. You will directly supervise a team of 50 hourly production workers on the manufacturing floor. Specific Responsibilities * Lead by example, by taking ownership of the Cost Center operations under your cognizance, communicating openly, and being a coach, not a critic. Put the customer first and strive for innovation, encouraging others to offer ideas to improve the work, fostering an environment of Continuous Improvement. * Ensure operators are following Kohler Safety Program protocols, including (but not limited to) PPE use (including respiratory system protection for spray booth operators), safe lifting practices, PIV/pedestrian separation, and COVID-19 spread prevention measures. * Schedule production daily for the Organics workcenters. Assign operators to optimize efficient operation of the Cost Center. React to absenteeism by reassigning as needed. * Ensure Kohler Quality Program standards are met. * Troubleshoot problems, asking for help from support organizations when appropriate. * Order needed components from the Warehouse/DC/Conway, as appropriate. * Help train new operators to SOPs and JIs. * Use the Progressive Discipline system to enforce the Employee Handbook. Skills/Requirements * High school diploma is required. Associate's degree is preferred. * Minimum 3+ years of related leadership experience is required, 5+ years is preferred * Experience and demonstrated success in a leadership position requiring accomplishment of standards or goals through subordinates. * Lean manufacturing experience is required * Coatings experience is preferred * Strong communication skills. * Basic computer skills, with the ability to understand/learn new programs.
