This position is an internal posting for current CRMC employees to apply#beginning at 8:00 am on 10/3#until 4:00 pm on 10/9 # POSITION SUMMARY Plant Operations Technicians are an integral part of the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center team. They maintain the physical buildings and essential emergency, mechanical and electrical systems in safe operational conditions. They support all maintenance functions in all areas of the hospital and the care center. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: High school graduate or equivalent. At least one year experience in plant operations function with a strong electrical and mechanical background. Successful completion of plant operations standard. License/Certificates: Valid Minnesota driver#s license required. Special Skills and Aptitudes: Effective interpersonal relationship skills including good listening and communication skills. Ability to adapt resources to meet the needs of the situation. Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of settings and with a variety of people at different organization levels. Ability to operate all equipment for the position. Exercises good judgement, flexibility, creativity, and insight to problem solving. Adjusts to stressful situations with confidence and good judgement. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain and perform accurate and organized maintenance tasks through the electronic work request system. Coordinate, communicate and assist contracted vendors with building and maintenance inspections or service. Assess, schedule, organize and perform routine preventative maintenance duties. Perform project assignments, Building repairs, painting and limited construction. Provides services and assistance for ground work and all snow/ice removal. Maintains and makes minor repair and cleaning of vehicles and equipment. Assist other facilities staff in processing work requests and preventive maintenance tasks Understands all emergency, door entry, telephone, mechanical, electrical, heating and air handler building, and digital design systems Assist with campus needs as an interdisciplinary team member and universal worker. Drive the CRMC Shuttle on property. The dirver picks up patients and visitors from parking lots and facility entrances and delivers them safely to hospital entrances and/or their vehicles. Drivers must have good communication skills to interact with the customers they serve. Demonstrate Standards of Excellence when other duties are assigned.
