We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Operations Manager to lead all plant operations, ensuring production, maintenance, engineering, quality, and safety goals are met. Our client values continuous improvement and offers a rewarding work environment for talented individuals.
Responsibilities: Lead all plant operations to achieve production goals and maintain safety standards. Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques to drive continuous improvement. Develop and execute manufacturing plans and production schedules to increase profitability and reduce overhead.
Oversee policies, procedures, and processes to minimize costs and maximize production. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency optimization within manufacturing processes. Collaborate with department heads to streamline purchasing, production, quality, and distribution processes.
Execute strategy deployment plans, implementing new technologies and processes to maintain a sustainable competitive advantage. Champion health, environment, and safety initiatives, ensuring compliance standards are met. Provide expectations, accountability, and direction to direct reports.
Prepare and maintain plant budgets, controlling costs to meet budget goals. Promote Continuous Improvement concepts throughout the organization, driving waste elimination and organizational focus. Foster a culture of involvement, communication, mutual trust, accountability, and a passion for excellence across the organization.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Material Science, Operations Management, or Business. 8-10 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the metals sector. Strong background in lean manufacturing / Six Sigma techniques. Proven track record of driving operational excellence and competitive positioning.
