Essential Functions

  • Refine and enhance processes by applying continuous improvement and key Lean manufacturing/ production principles and techniques to areas of production.

  • Responsible for process and equipment safety, ensure all equipment is adequately guarded and ergonomically correct.

  • Responsible to resolve safety issues identified by team and others.

  • Ensure assy equipment is operational and improvement of equipment up-time.

  • Implement mistake proofing to existing equipment to reduce internal and customer rejects.

  • Responsible for development of assy equipment to support new product launches.

  • Ownership of PFMEA and DFM/ DFA activities.

  • Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished product and process capabilities, and establishing standards to confirm and validate manufacturing process requirements.

  • Determine root cause of failure using statistical methods (e.g., design of experiment, SPC) that may result in changes in design, tolerances, or processing methods.

  • Research and prepare capital acquisition (AFE) for the plant equipment requirements.

  • Document ownership of equipment specifications/ drawings and troubleshooting guides and process work instruction.


Management of the day-to-day Manufacturing Engineering operations at the plant level. New product equipment launch and support and improvement of existing equipment.

Reports to the Operations Manager. Manager will have direct supervision of Manufacturing Engineers, maintenance technician, and fabrication machinist. Interacts routinely with all functional areas as well as with customers and suppliers.


  • B.S. Degree in an Manufacturing/ Industrial Engineering or other Engineering.

  • 5+ Years of Engineering or related experience.

  • Management experience of direct reports.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing and quality practices.

  • Experience with continuous improvement tools and techniques (i.e., Lean, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis).

  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, facilitation and problem-solving skills.

  • Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skill.

Since 1981, Family Networks, and now People Incorporated, has been helping children, teens and families overcome emotional problems and situational barriers in order to improve their lives and family relationships. Family Networks, Inc has become the Children & Family Services Division at People Incorporated. Our Targeted Case Management program is hiring a Case Manager II position. Services are designed to help the child with severe emotional disturbance and the child's family obtain needed mental health services, social services, educational services, health services, vocational services, recreational services, and related services in the areas of volunteer services, advocacy, transportation, and legal services. Typical hours for the position are Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm. Some flexibility may be required in order to accommodate family schedules. The Case Manager II assesses the needs and strengths of eligible children and their families to determine what services may be most helpful. Some of the primary tasks are to: * Create a viable plan to assist families in accessing and utilizing services and supoorts * Actively monitor the delivery services (within the agency and with outside providers) * Assess outcomes, support and assist families in addressing unmet needs * Collaborate and coordinate with others to ensure service effectiveness and to avoid duplication * Attend weekly supervision with manager * Submit authorizations to Hennepin County and other insurance companies * Complete paperwork in a timely manner Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Human Services * 2,000 hours of supervised experience working with adolescents and their families * Reliable vehicle, current auto insurance, and a current and valid driver's license * Knowledge of Hennepin County Human Services Systems * Knowledge of adolescent mental and chemical health issues, and awareness of community-based mental and chemical health resources * Experience with children/ adolescents and families * Ability to forge a mutually respectful partnership with persons served and their families * Knowledge of local community resources and how to use those resources for the benefit of children and their families Preferred Qualifications: * Bilingual (English/Spanish) People Incorporated offers a suite of comprehensive medical and dental benefits as well as competitive pay, fours weeks of paid time off.
