Plant Manager

Position Summary

Effectively lead and manage all safety and production efforts at a 750K ton/year stone quarry.

Requirements

• Responsible for site planning, pit development, quality control, and maintenance functions.

• Additional duties include asset protection, financial evaluation, budgeting and cost control, environmental, personnel and community relations duties.

• Ensure compliance with company mandated safety and environmental policies, programs and guidelines as well as regulatory compliance.

Minimum Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

• Minimum 10 years' of experience at a aggregate or mining operation required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Working knowledge and understanding of MSHA regulations and possess a strong personal commitment to safety

• Solid understanding of aggregate processing and equipment

• Solid understanding of maintenance practices of both fixed and mobile equipment

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability of developing and maintaining good relationships with company and regulatory agency personnel

• Strong leadership skills and possess the ability to lead, manage and motivate and have a proven track record for creating employee ownership of safety, production and quality

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience in JD Edwards, auto cad, plant automation systems a plus
