What you will do:
Directs production, delivery and all other operations for the plant, or assigned territory of organization by performing assigned duties personally or through subordinate staff. The ultimate goal for this position is to develop an environment of safe teamwork that results in customer needs for quality product delivered in a timely manner being met.
Main Responsibilities
1.Cultivate a positive safety culture at the plant location. Builds individual accountability and rewards/ recognition into safety approach.
2.Safely batch concrete and load trucks according to order specification, ensuring the highest level of quality while maintaining consistent high efficiency.
3.Supervises drivers at assigned plant, including orientation, ongoing training, and day-to-day scheduling.
4.Assist in the interviewing, scheduling, and training of new hires.
5.Effectively coach and document employee's performance with feedback from electronic monitoring systems.
6.Prepare timely company reports and timecards/timesheets.
7.Demonstrate and communicate high standard of customer service and satisfaction by working in conjunction with other company representatives and sales staff.
8.Utilize Key Performance Indicators to drive operational excellence at the plant level.
9.Manage inventory daily, never running out of materials or overstocking materials.
Work alongside Customer Service to ensure trucks arrive to the correct location on time.
Maintain housekeeping tasks of plant office, premises, trucks, and heavy equipment to conform to company and legal safety standards.
Responsible for ongoing improvement of the assigned plant and surrounding area.
Perform all other duties assigned by company management.
Experience and abilities you will need:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
1 year or more of experience in Ready-Mix
ACI (American Concrete Institute) Certification preferred
Computer literate
Understand plant and equipment used in ready mix
Leadership - motivating
Interpersonal - resolve conflict, lead by example
Communication - strong, effective
