Kinder Morgan CO2 Company is currently seeking a Plant Manager for the SACROC Gas Processing Facilities in Snyder, TX. The successful candidate will serve a vital role in maintaining the safe and efficient operations of the plant facilities.

The SACROC Gas Processing facilities employ a multitude of processes which include over 300,000 hp of compression, gas dehydration facilities, NGL Recovery facilities, and CO2 membranes. The SACROC Gas Processing Facility is a PSM Facility. The Plant Manager will be responsible for general oversight of all plant operations and maintenance.

This includes the direct supervision of four supervisors (Operations, Rotating Equipment, Fixed Equipment, and I&E), 7 technicians, and one administrative assistant. The entire organization, including indirect reports, consists of about 70 employees. Duties include:Oversee subordinate supervisors and verify improvement in: Process Safety Management program, Preventative Maintenance program, development of employees, efficient operations, and equipment reliability.Recognize and promote ideas that provide safer, more efficient and cost effective operation, making sure that operating costs are consistent with budgetary constraints.Support and work with outside groups such as process engineering, project engineering, and the Operations Excellence team on safety, optimization, and expansion initiatives.Prepare operating budget on an annual basis, and monitor budgetary performance throughout the year.Lead the facilitys emergency response program and ensure that resources are available to protect the facility and public in the event of an emergency.

Position Requirements

ExEDUCATION REQUIREDHigh School diploma or equivalent PREFERRED EDUCATIONBachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is preferred, however experience may substitute for a degree. EXPERIENCE REQUIREDPrior supervisory experience

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)Strong communication skills

Strong computer skills

Strong analytical skills

Must maintain a valid drivers license and a driving record acceptable to the companys insurers.Must be able to work with a team, give direction to supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus on attention to detail, and follow work rules. PREFERRED SKILLS / KNOWLEDGEDetailed knowledge of reciprocating compression and NGL extraction

Experience with OPEX budget tracking and forecasting

General knowledge of process control concepts

Familiarity with key safety programs including lockout/tagout, hot work permitting, and confined space entry. WORKING CONDITIONSTasks are performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions in daylight & darkness.May be required to stand, walk, sit, ascend/descend stairs or ladders, use hand tools, reach with hands and arms.Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Plant vessels and piping systems contain H2S and hydrocarbon gases which are flammable and may be explosive under certain circumstances

Requires working on holidays when a holiday falls on a scheduled on-call weekend

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of equipment at the Snyder Gas Plant. The Snyder Gas Plant employs a multitude of processes which include over 20,000 hp of compression, amine plants, cryogenic NGL recovery plants and various utility systems. The Snyder Gas Plant is a PSM Facility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Operate production equipment to maintain designated operating conditions. • Achieve and maintain pressure and volume targets. • Conduct regular surveillance of automated production operations. • Perform shutdown and startup of equipment. • Conduct daily rounds and monitoring of facilities, and identification of operational problems. • Responsible for lockout and tagout duties for maintenance work. • Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns. • Monitor SCADA equipment and report issues using the work order system. • Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills, and listen carefully. • Write effectively, and understand verbal and written communications, including but not limited to email. • Maintain a regular, dependable attendance, and high level of performance. • Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public. • Required to work non-traditional hours. • Callout and unscheduled overtime is required, and anticipated. Must be able to respond to callouts within 30 minutes. • Other daily, weekly and monthly duties as assigned. Position Requirements MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: • High school diploma or equivalent is required. EXPERIENCE / SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE: • At least one year experience in operating a gas processing plant, or equivalent experience in a similar industry, is required. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers. • Subject to random drug testing. • Must pass applicable Operator Qualification (OQ) tasks, as required. COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: • Basic proficiency with Microsoft applications (including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook) and other assigned computer programs. • Good written and verbal communication skills, including but not limited to the ability to work from written or verbal instructions. • Ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), focus attention on details, follow work rules, and adhere to established work schedules. • Ability to organize and prioritize daily work, maintain confidentiality as necessary, and work effectively with limited supervision. • Must be highly self-motivated, dependable, and punctual. • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job.
