Kinder Morgan CO2 Company is currently seeking a Plant Manager for the SACROC Gas Processing Facilities in Snyder, TX. The successful candidate will serve a vital role in maintaining the safe and efficient operations of the plant facilities.
The SACROC Gas Processing facilities employ a multitude of processes which include over 300,000 hp of compression, gas dehydration facilities, NGL Recovery facilities, and CO2 membranes. The SACROC Gas Processing Facility is a PSM Facility. The Plant Manager will be responsible for general oversight of all plant operations and maintenance.
This includes the direct supervision of four supervisors (Operations, Rotating Equipment, Fixed Equipment, and I&E), 7 technicians, and one administrative assistant. The entire organization, including indirect reports, consists of about 70 employees. Duties include:Oversee subordinate supervisors and verify improvement in: Process Safety Management program, Preventative Maintenance program, development of employees, efficient operations, and equipment reliability.Recognize and promote ideas that provide safer, more efficient and cost effective operation, making sure that operating costs are consistent with budgetary constraints.Support and work with outside groups such as process engineering, project engineering, and the Operations Excellence team on safety, optimization, and expansion initiatives.Prepare operating budget on an annual basis, and monitor budgetary performance throughout the year.Lead the facilitys emergency response program and ensure that resources are available to protect the facility and public in the event of an emergency.
ExEDUCATION REQUIREDHigh School diploma or equivalent PREFERRED EDUCATIONBachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is preferred, however experience may substitute for a degree. EXPERIENCE REQUIREDPrior supervisory experience

Must maintain a valid drivers license and a driving record acceptable to the companys insurers.Must be able to work with a team, give direction to supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus on attention to detail, and follow work rules. PREFERRED SKILLS / KNOWLEDGEDetailed knowledge of reciprocating compression and NGL extraction
Experience with OPEX budget tracking and forecasting
General knowledge of process control concepts
Familiarity with key safety programs including lockout/tagout, hot work permitting, and confined space entry. WORKING CONDITIONSTasks are performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions in daylight & darkness.May be required to stand, walk, sit, ascend/descend stairs or ladders, use hand tools, reach with hands and arms.Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Plant vessels and piping systems contain H2S and hydrocarbon gases which are flammable and may be explosive under certain circumstances
Requires working on holidays when a holiday falls on a scheduled on-call weekend
