Plant Manager (1804530) Tipp City, OH Where the Chemistry Happens The AS Plant Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of a manufacturing facility to ensure timely production of high quality product in a cost efficient, safe, and environmentally responsible manner.

Overall responsibility for site security including compliance with all Federal, State, local and BASF programs and policies. The AS Plant Manager is also the Incident Commander in case of site emergencies. Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent Formula for Success Plans and coordinates all activities related to the production of Admixture products to ensure timely processing and shipment of customer orders within quality and cost standards.

Coordinate distribution schedule with carriers, ensure timeliness of deliveries and accuracy of shipping records; prepare shipping documents as necessary. Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to improve operating efficiencies and product quality, within established operating guidelines. Responsible for maintaining an effective maintenance program for equipment and plant facilities to minimize downtime.

Responsible for the selection and placement of qualified personnel, under the direction of Human Resources. Maintains employee Performance Management Process and communicates results with management and employees. Responsible for the administration of employee and/or company labor agreements or company employee relations policies for production personnel.

Recommends goals, objectives and budgets for assigned plant in support of Corporate and Division goals, and monitors performance to assure attainment. Responsible for ensuring the health and safety of employees and the protection of the environment. Responsible for the administration of all safety regulations according to BASF Corporation policy, and state, local, and federal requirements.

Ensure that his/her area/function is clearly and verifiably organized, and that it performs in accordance with specifications outlined by Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Requirements and applicable laws and regulations. Assist engineering with management of capital improvements to within prescribed budgetary constraints. To establish and monitor measurable EHS objectives including employee training and awareness programs as part of a continuous improvement process identified and conform to applicable policy and regulations.

JOB DESCRIPTION:JOB DESCRIPTION: The Sr Project Engineer has the following responsibilities: * Engineering management of plant capital projects and cost improvement efforts within manufacturing including project scope development, implementation schedules, budgets, contract management, execution of work and validation. * Engineering support of automated manufacturing equipment in the production area. Ensures that all equipment and installations comply with applicable GMP, regulatory, safety and environment requirements. * Engineering leadership in working with the manufacturing areas to identify and manage the Capital 5-year LRP (long range plan). Represents the plant as part of the project team and coordinates / communicates all activities to the manufacturing areas. * Engineering interface for BEx and cost reduction initiatives. Develops long range strategies Project Engineering - Manage all aspects of the capital planning process for assigned areas including development and management of cost improvement initiatives, equipment upgrades, request for capital expenditures, management of the Capital Project LRP and project financial projections. Communications – Provide timely, effective communication with plant management, department members, peers, and personnel in the production areas. Ability to work in a changing environment that requires teamwork and collaboration. Environmental, Heath, & Safety – Be involved in and accountable for EH&S performance and compliance. Assure all projects meet current EHS requirements. Cost Reduction / Productivity Improvements - Utilize cost improvement and BEx tools to evaluate manufacturing equipment and make on-going improvements in the production areas through the capital planning process. Manufacturing Operations – Specify, purchase, install, and improve automated process manufacturing equipment and systems.
